Benefits of University Admissions 

Participants aged 16+ will be offered a scholarship discount upto 10% through our partner Happy Education, for numerous prestigious universities, including:

  • 106 universities in the UK 
  • 30 universities in the USA 
  • 13 universities in Australia 
  • 3 universities in Canada 
  • 1 university in New Zealand 

 Study at NLGS with a Scholarship

In addition, the medallists will also have a chance to study at North London Grammar School with a scholarship of: 

  • up to 20% off in secondary school from Year 7 up to year 10. 
For school admissions, the discount percentage varies based on the applicant’s achievement level. Gold achievers receive the highest discount at 20%, followed by Bronze achievers with 15% and Silver achievers with 10%. HM achievers are eligible for a 9% discount, while non-achievers receive an 8% discount. These reductions are designed to recognise and reward students’ accomplishments while making education more accessible.
 

For University Foundation Programme (UFP) admissions, the discount rates are higher. Gold achievers benefit from a 40% discount, while Bronze achievers receive 30%. Silver achievers qualify for a 20% discount, and HM achievers receive an 18% reduction. Non-achievers are still eligible for a 15% discount. These discounts aim to support students in their transition to higher education by easing financial barriers based on their achievements.

 

The prospective students at North London Grammar School will become more proficient while studying with us because they will be immersed in a new culture and language. Their ability and confidence will undoubtedly increase when they receive daily lessons and have the chance to socialise with local students. In addition, the students will pick up lifelong skills they can use in the future.

Ready for the A Level / College level Education?

All participants are also eligible up to 40% discount from the most prominent colleges and A Level schools in the UK to develop a greater range of skills as well as to enhance their potential.

The prospected students will develop into more independent and self-assured people by immersing themselves in a foreign culture that is occasionally utterly different from their own and making new friends from all over the world.

 

The UK has a small land in Britain with adequate public transportation. Travelling around the UK and even Europe is simple by bus, train, and aeroplane. For the weekend, students can visit Glasgow, Cardiff, Northern Ireland, Edinburgh, Liverpool or Manchester. 

 

Deep Dive into English

All participants are eligible for a discount up to 30% from prestigious language schools in the UK.

All educators know that living in a foreign country differs from learning its language. The prospected students will be able to pick up fresh, colloquial idioms and terms from locals whose mother tongue is English. Nothing can be learned solely from books.

The prospected students will likely discover that English instruction differs from that in their country in a native English-speaking nation like the UK. However, the students will have a fantastic chance to practise their language skills through exciting activities. For example, speaking and listening are typically the most challenging abilities for students to develop. The English instructors in the UK are aware of this and will emphasise it to support their objectives.

 

Recognition at the awards ceremony

It is important to encourage every student participating in IGO to do their best and feel that their hard work is valued. This is why we hold an award closing ceremony. Every student who participates in IGO is awarded a participation certificate. The winners receive  special certificate and medals. It is an excellent opportunity to recognise their difficult work accomplishments.

Great to put down your personal statement when applying for University 

When applying to a university, your personal statement is an essential part of your application. Your personal statement is your chance to sell yourself to your chosen university. If you’re looking to work in a specific field, such as medicine, engineering, or computer science, referencing your IGO experience will enhance your application.

Some universities will focus entirely on your academic activities, and others will also pay attention to your interests outside school. Adding IGO to your application is a great example of showing that your experience relates to your chosen study. You will be able to write about the essential skills you have learned throughout the process, such as time management, research, record-keeping, and public speaking. In addition, you will be able to showcase all the attributes you will be able to bring to your chosen university.

Experience life abroad in London

Not only is IGO recognised worldwide, but participating in IGO is an excellent opportunity to experience life abroad. Whilst you are participating in IGO, you will have the chance to visit London and do some sightseeing. It is a great chance to experience a new culture and make new friends from around the world who also participate in IGO. Being in a foreign country also allows you to develop a newfound appreciation for your culture. Cultural awareness is essential in everyday life and the workplace. You will also be able to enhance your communication skills, embedding yourself in a new environment; You will learn how to communicate effectively with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. You will become more independent and resilient, which are great personal growth qualities that will prepare you for your future.
