Public Speaking at the International Greenwich Olympiad challenges students to develop and showcase their communication skills by delivering a structured and impactful speech on a selected topic. Participants are evaluated on clarity, confidence, content, creativity, body language, and engagement with the audience. Key Requirements
1. Speech Duration
Each student will have 3–5 minutes to deliver their speech. Participants are expected to stay within this time limit.
2. Preparation Requirements
Students should prepare:
– An original speech based on the UN SDGs and/or UK Values.
– Printed copy of their speech (to be submitted to judges before presenting).
– Optional: Simple presentation slides (if they wish to use visual support).
Speeches should demonstrate clarity of ideas, originality, structure, confidence, and strong delivery skills.
